Angiotensin II Receptor antagonists

40mg, 80mg

Telmisartan blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor in a number of tissues. It does not cause persistent dry cough that normally complicates ACE inhibitors therapy. This is due to the fact that it does not inhibit the breakdown of Kinins.
